Krystyna Pyszková from the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World at a prestigious event held in India on Saturday night. The competition, which took place in Mumbai, the financial and entertainment hub of India, featured 112 contestants from around the world.
Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon was the first runner-up in the contest, which saw Pyszková expressing her joy at winning, calling it a dream come true. She expressed deep honor in representing her country and the values of ‘beauty with a purpose’ on a global stage.
During the event, Pyszková was crowned by the outgoing Miss World, Karoline Bielawska of Poland, and waved to the large crowd at the Jio World Convention Center. She also shared warm hugs with some of the other contestants, showcasing the camaraderie among the participants.
The competition highlighted India’s rich cultural heritage, including its traditions, arts, crafts, and textiles, to a global audience. Participants dazzled in heavily embroidered skirts and blouses, dancing to popular Bollywood tunes.
This year’s Miss World pageant marked a significant return to India after 28 years, further enhancing the country’s reputation as a vibrant host for international events.
